LAPS for Lansing Virtual 5K Fundraiser (benefitting Impression 5 and Michigan Youth Arts): July 25- August 8

The 27th annual Adopt-A-River community cleanup with the Board of Water and Light has been cancelled. We hope to reschedule for a date in the fall of 2020. Please stay tuned! 

Update as of July 16, 2020: 

While we have been anxiously anticipating the moment of welcoming you back into your Science Center this upcoming weekend for Member-only hours, our team has decided to postpone these in-person events. While there have been no positive COVID-19 cases reported for Impression 5 staff or L.A.B.S. campers at this time, we are very concerned by the growing number of positive cases within our greater Lansing community which has increased the risk we all face as we traverse our lives and work.

The health and safety of your family and our staff is at the helm of this decision, and we are committed to always making decisions based on our care for you. Our plan is to reschedule these member-only events once it is safe to do so. Your family is at the top of our list to notify about the rescheduled events, and we will contact you to offer a new reservation when they become available.  For further questions, please contact white@impression5.org.

Courtland Consulting is hosting a virtual fundraiser to benefit Impression 5 Science Center and Michigan Youth Arts. Register at lapsforlansing.org! We are so grateful to Courtland Consulting and the LAPS for Lansing event sponsors for their generous support.

Here are the 3 virtual events you can register for:

5K Run/Walk - Choose a weekend to Run/Walk your 5K - Aug 1-2 or Aug 7-8. Your Run/Walk can be completed anywhere or anytime on those dates.

Art Run/Walk- Run or walk 1 mile each day for 2 weeks (July 25 - Aug 8). While you are exercising, take pictures of local art and share them on Instagram using the hashtag #lapsforlansing. This totals to just over a half marathon!

Laps Challenge - Take laps around anything… your house, your mailbox, your dog, your neighbor, your school… be creative! While you are at it, take pictures and share those pictures on Instagram using the hashtag #lapsforlansing.

Each registrant can participate in all 3! Registering also comes with a shirt you can wear while participating. Registration is $25, or $30 if you would like your shirt mailed to you.
