Everyone should have access to make meaningful connections to science! Impression 5 Science Center has several scholarship programs designed to increase equitable access to our programs and experiences.

1. Admission (Museums for All):

Since 2017, Impression 5 Science Center has been proud to participate in the Museums for All program that offers a special admission price to families who receive food assistance (SNAP benefits). To expand this access, we also offer reduced pricing to families who present valid ID and a medicaid, EBT, or WIC card. We are celebrating over 10,000 admissions through this program so far, and hope to see you soon!

To use this benefit:

  • Request the reduced admission price at our guest services desk upon checking in

  • Present your valid ID and EBT, Medicaid, or WIC card

  • Reduced admission price is free for children 1 & younger; $2.00 for adults and children 2 and older (up to 6 guests total)

2. Membership:

Looking for 12 months of play? Scholarships that reduce the cost of our Family Membership are available for you! One or more of these factors will qualify you for a scholarship membership:

  • EBT, Medicaid, or WIC card

  • Disabled child (cognitive or physical impairment, or other)

  • Low income (We do not require proof of income, but see these federal poverty guidelines for more information)

To apply:

  • Visit our guest services desk, or

  • Contact Membership Liaison Joyce White by email or at (517) 485-8116 x126

  • Families that qualify may be asked to present their valid ID and EBT, Medicaid, or WIC card at the time of registration

We suggest a donation of $15 for membership scholarships, but we are grateful for the level of support that your family can offer. Scholarships applied for onsite can be given “same day” access to play.

3. Programs:

Scholarships reduce the total cost for programs (such as Make It! workshops and our L.A.B.S. day camps) by 50%. This support is available for families with one or more of these qualifying factors:

  • EBT, Medicaid, or WIC card

  • Disabled child (cognitive or physical impairment, or other)

  • Low income (We do not require proof of income, but see these federal poverty guidelines for more information)

To apply:

  • Contact our reservations team at (517) 485-8116 x132

  • Families that qualify may be asked to present their valid ID and EBT, Medicaid, or WIC card at the time of registration.
