Ocean Bound gives guests of all ages a unique and breathtaking introduction to the majesty of our waterways. Pilot a giant submersible, encounter a variety of aquatic species and ecosystems, guide water safely through a hazardous maze, and even make rain cascade down mountains, flow into rivers, and more!

You can also explore the Riverside Clubhouse, where young children can curl up with beautifully illustrated books about watersheds, aquatic animals, and conservation which is perfect for sparking curiosity and early learning.

Ocean Bound will be at your Science Center until May 3 and is supported by the Dart Foundation.

Explore the newest exhibit at your Science Center, Megawatt! This interactive exhibit will help you explore the science behind electricity production throughout Michigan! Understand the relationship between the choices we make in energy production and the impact those choices have on the environment around us. What will the future of electricity production in Michigan look like? In Megawatt, you can decide!

Experience the wonder of nuclear science in this new interactive exhibit that explores atoms and their journeys of acceleration, collision, separation, and detection in simulated environments that illustrate the research happening now at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) at Michigan State University.

Built entirely here at the Science Center, this exhibit also explores a variety of jobs and skillsets that make the research at FRIB possible. It also features Isotopolis, an exploratory game about the process of discovering rare isotopes. In the game, players accelerate particles and assemble new isotopes in the effort to complete the table of nuclides in a process inspired by what goes on at the nanoscopic level within a particle accelerator. Immerse yourself in nanoscale science, engineering, and technology! This exhibit introduces you to real world nano applications and explores the societal adn ethical implications of this new technology. Play with magnetic materials and more!

What types of structures can you build? How does gravity, tension, and compression affect your structure? Get ready to become an engineer as you build with a variety of materials. Build Zone features magnetic Panelcraft, bridge building, blocks, and more! This exhibit promotes team building and problem solving. What will you create together?

In POP!, exploe how soap and water molecules interact to create the structure of a bubble. Learn about the chemistry of soap films, create beautiful forms and colors, and even stand inside a giant bubble!

What does the world look like through the eyes of a naturalist? Explore the natural environments of Michigan while never setting foot outside the Science Center! With a variety of new technological tools, challenge your thinking skills as you get up close and personal with living systems, just like a naturalist in the field!
